On November 22, 2025, environmental enthusiasts gathered at South Farms in Morris, CT, for a lively evening of bidding in support of the Housatonic Valley Association’s mission to protect the environmental health of the region, from Long Island Sound to the Berkshires and beyond.
Hosted by mother-daughter actresses Christine Baranski and Lily Cowles, and co-chaired by Elyse Harney Morris, the event featured a star-studded live auction that followed a locally inspired silent auction. “Amid ongoing climate concerns, we have an opportunity to act now and protect this beautiful place so many people love, and HVA’s auction is a fun and meaningful way to help,” said Baranski, before she sang a tune from the hit movie Mamma Mia!
Also in attendance was Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal. “I really needed to be here today to revive my hope…. There is nothing more important than elevating these environmental issues,” he said.
Thank you to you to everyone who participated in this year’s auction! Whether you joined us in person at South Farms or bid online, we are so grateful for your support and had a wonderful time celebrating the beautiful Housatonic Valley with you.
