Wild and Scenic discussed in Falls Village

FALLS VILLAGE—Despite some sharp questioning from a healthy crowd of “river supporters”—the diplomatic and inclusive term used by Housatonic River Commission Chairman William Tingley of Sharon to include both advocates and opponents of a National Wild and Scenic River designation for the river—the potential benefits of the federal designation seem to far outweigh any deficits.
